It's getting to be about that time...

I can't believe I haven't posted on here in 6 months. As you can imagine, life has been a little crazy. I'm now 32 weeks pregnant...and Baby M is due on August 3rd!

All in all, this has been a pretty uneventful pregnancy (Baruch Hashem!), and I can't wait to hold my little girl! Please be in prayer for us as her birth day quickly approaches.

Hebrew Word Dictionary

Abba - Father.

Baruch - Blessed.

HaShem - Literally "The Name." This is used referring the Name of God. Usually the LORD in most English Bibles.

Haftarah - Weekly portion from the prophets coinciding with parasha portion.

Moshiach - Literally "Anointed One." It is translated into English as "Messiah."

Parasha - The Torah is divided into 54 portions for weekly reading, going through the entire Torah in one year. Each week countless Jews and increasing numbers of believers read these portions together. Each parasha is named by one of the first words appearing in portion.

Shabbat - The Sabbath, or seventh day of the week.

Shalom - Peace.

Sha'ul - Paul's Hebrew name, which he used interchangeably just as many people today have a Hebrew name and a name from the country where they live.

Sh'mitah - The seventh or sabbatical year in which God commanded His people to allow the ground to lie fallow. It is currently beginning to be observed in some parts of Israel today.

Todah - Thank you!

Yeshua - Literally "salvation." Hebrew name for Jesus.
